Monoprix cultivates saffron on its rooftops in the 13th district of Paris
Monoprix embarking on urban agriculture by growing the first Parisian saffron from an urban farm that will be sold in his store. The company has set up this project with the start-up Bienélevées. The area includes 677m² of saffron and also provides 150m2 of aromatic perennials, 1 insect house, and 3 hives. This project is part of the signing of the "100 hectare" City of Paris Charter to plant 100 hectares of buildings by 2020.
