The MOE team selected for the development of the Gare des Mines-Fillettes BIA
Paris & Métropole Aménagement has selected the urban and landscape project management team led by the MICHEL DESVIGNE PAYSAGISTE agency for the development of the Gare des Mines-Fillettes ZAC, Paris 18e.
This development project covers a surface area of approximately 20 hectares between Porte de la Chapelle and Porte d'Aubervilliers around the Paris ring road. The operation is part of the major redevelopment project for the Paris North-East area, launched in 2002 by the City of Paris. Through this project, 150,000 sq. m. of mixed programs will be created, including housing, offices, economic and productive activities, hotels, shops, public sports and cultural facilities. This will make it possible to accommodate 1,200 new inhabitants and create 4,400 new jobs.
The project is based on a structuring, densely vegetated landscape framework that makes it possible to reconcile the local and metropolitan scales of the site through an urban composition adapted to intense traffic and welcoming to everyday uses. It contributes to the resilience of the area by promoting ecological continuity and in situ water management, helping to combat heat islands.
The project management team will work with another Paris Action Climat signatory, Paris Habitat, which is leading the redevelopment of the Charles Hermite housing estate, an HBM housing complex comprising 1,300 housing units.
