Maisons du Monde preserves biodiversity and chimpanzees in Tanzania by supporting the Jane Goodall Institute
For 60 years, Dr. Jane Goodall and her institute have been working in Gombe National Park, Tanzania, to preserve biodiversity and chimpanzees. A historic project that you can support right now in Maisons du Monde shops thanks to the ARRONDI at the checkout and a shared product!
At the moment, all Maisons du Monde customers can support the Jane Goodall Institute project in Gombe, Tanzania, by rounding up their purchase by a few cents thanks to the ARRONDI at the checkout. 100% of the micro-donations collected will be donated to the association.
In addition, a shared product has also been available to them since 4 November on the web and in shops: for each "Gombe" bottle purchased, €2 is donated to the Institute. A great way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the project!
Focus on the Jane Goodall Institute project
Committed to forest preservation since 2016, the Maisons du Monde Foundation has been supporting the Jane Goodall Institute since 2018 in its fight to preserve chimpanzees and biodiversity. First in Senegal, then in Tanzania since 2020.
The funds raised for the project in Tanzania will allow, thanks to the ARRONDI in cash and the shared product, to :
- Continue the world's longest research on wild primates
- Participate in the deployment of the TACARE programme to reconcile conservation and sustainable development with the local population.
