LVMH - THE GREENEST BRANDS AWARDED
The energy performance of the Group's stores was rewarded at the second edition of the LIFE in STORES fair, organized at the initiative of Toni Belloni, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and Sylvie Bénard, Environment Director. The LIFE in STORES Awards rewarded the eight best environmental practices of the Group's brands at their sales outlet.
The LVMH Environment Department supports the Group's brands in order to reduce their environmental footprint as much as possible. The LIFE program, launched in 2012, and integrated into the strategic plan of each brand, as well as the internal carbon fund created in 2015, are two illustrations of the central place given to the environmental strategy within LVMH. 70% of LVMH's greenhouse gas emissions are related to the stores' energy consumption. The first lever of progress used is LED lighting, which reduces electricity consumption by 30% on average compared to traditional lighting. Improving the energy performance of retail stores is also a priority.
On this occasion, Guerlain received the "Interior Design" prize (use of materials and transport) for its Saint Honoré boutique in Paris.
