Fourth edition of the Paris Habitat participatory budget

  • #ODD11
  • #Paris Habitat

From March 16 to April 30, as part of the Participatory Budget, Paris Habitat invites its tenants to imagine and propose together projects to improve the living environment of their residence. This concerted action brings together the tenants of 2,004 accommodations spread over 11 sites, including for this 2020 edition, a residence located in Bagneux.

The goal is to make tenants their own agents of change in their residences. From 7 years and over, everyone can submit one or more projects: shared garden, playground, bicycle shelter, improvement of common areas for example.

In addition, the objective is also to encourage discussions and enhance collective intelligence. This method of consultation and participation in decisions contributes to the renewal of the relationship between the lessor and its tenants.

The Paris Habitat teams, volunteers from the Civic Service and consultation specialists will support the tenants in the formalization of their proposals. Last year, during the 3rd year of the Participatory Budget, € 1.5 million was invested in projects selected by the inhabitants.

Tenants will therefore have until April 30 to submit their projects. Then, from June 22 to 29, the tenants will vote. Finally, the winning projects will be announced during the week of July 6. These projects will then be implemented in close collaboration between the Paris Habitat teams and the tenants of the residences.
