Covivio maintains its leading position in its sector with an (A+) Sustainability Rating from Vigeo Eiris
Covivio once again achieves the highest rating of A1+ on its Sustainability Rating from Vigeo Eiris and remains the leader in the Financial Services - Real Estate Europe sector.
This assessment acknowledges Covivio's commitments and recognises the effectiveness of the integration of ESG (environmental, ethical, social and governance) factors into the group's strategy, operations and risk management. With an overall score of 71/100 (vs. 69/100 in 2019), Covivio moves up from 7th place to 5th place worldwide for all sectors combined.
A world leader in ESG assessments and analysis, Vigeo Eiris provides its clients with the ESG information they need to manage risks and better understand and address their social and environmental impacts. The due diligence requested by companies is structured according to three complementary pillars:
- the impact of the company's products, services and behaviour on sustainability and its ability to invest for the future
- the risks that may affect the company's strategic assets (reputation, human capital cohesion, operational efficiency and legal certainty) and their identification, control and mitigation system
- management of social responsibility factors (human rights, HR policy, environment, business ethics, governance, societal commitment).
A recognised European CSR policy
Having obtained the best possible score, A1+, and being the leader in its sector for the second consecutive year, Covivio is capitalizing on an ambitious sustainable development policy based on 4 axes: Sustainable Building, Sustainable City, Human Capital and Ethical Practices. In particular, Vigeo Eiris highlighted the group's advanced score in terms of energy transition, human resources management and alignment of governance practices with the best international standards.
In 2010, Covivio adopted an ambitious CSR policy and objectives extending to all its activities at European level. This award once again underlines the relevance of our strategy, which has been recognised for several years by non-financial rating organisations, and places the group as a benchmark property company in terms of sustainable development.
