On 5th April 2017, the closing ceremony of the consultation for the new Paris Climate Action Plan took place at the Paris 3rd district city hall. After 5 months of discussions, exchanges, workshops and conferences, Célia Blauel, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of sustainability, water policy and the Climate Action Plan, warmly thanked all participants in order to co-build a carbon neutral Paris in 2050. Faced with this ambitious challenge, the inhabitants and actors of Paris were largely mobilized to propose their vision of this desirable future and the measures that the City and its partners could set up to achieve this objective.
On this occasion, the signatories of the charter Paris Climate Action recalled their commitment to act on their fields of competence to achieve the climatic objectives that the City of Paris has set for its territory and have submitted a contribution in which they undertake to continue their mobilization within the framework of the new Paris Climate Action Plan. Thus, the charter initiative will evolve to propose a new commitment to 2030 in accordance with the orientations of the new Paris Climate Action Plan that will be adopted at the end of the year.
